Bridgette Owens is a multicultural artist from Aotearoa New Zealand, now based in Colorado. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Elam School of Fine Arts and works across works on paper, photography, mixed media, installation, and botanical design.

Her practice began with photography. Drawn to collecting moments of beauty, landscape, and everyday experience, she began printing, cutting, and reassembling her photographs into layered botanical collages. These fragments gradually evolved into imagined places where memory, observation, and wonder come together.

Working between intimate works on paper and large-scale immersive installations, Bridgette creates environments that invite people to slow down, wander, and experience a sense of wonder. Whether on paper or in space, her work explores how photographs, botanical materials, and lived experience can be transformed into something entirely new.

Living between Aotearoa New Zealand and the United States continues to shape her perspective. Rather than describing a single place, her work brings together fragments of landscapes, memories, and experiences to create places that exist somewhere in between.
